I already have a ASdegree in computer securtiy, my family comes from cops…I want to be a cop now.

I know many forces now you almost always need a degree to get the job but it’s usually criminal justice and degrees like that…..but computer forensics is related to police forces they need that as well
yeah…..they wouldn’t have to hire technicians to do so if they had one on the actual force

Cops don’t look at computers. They hire technicians to do so.

  1. Dylan says:

    absolutely………….. not.

  2. Chas says:

Police are trained for law enforcement and make a very good salary and benefits. They get full retirement after 20 yrs in Las Vegas instead of 30 tears. For that reason they don’t pay them to do work a technician can do much cheaper like computer forensics. They keep them on the streets. Forensics is what the CSI team is for. CSI people do not carry a gun and have no arrest powers (real world, not the TV show) and are much cheaper on the budget.

It may help get the job as a police officer, but you won’t work in that field in Las Vegas.
