Question by dell0989: Would a Computer Forensics scientist be in Communications Field?
I’m working on my Communications Merit Badge. It asked me to pick a job that i want to do and discuss about it. It says that it should be in the Communications field. So help me, would a Computer Forensics scientist be in Communication Field?

I would check more into the Criminal Justice system rather than just the communications field.

Do a search for “computer forensics” and you will find some good schools that talk about this area in more detail.

Computer Forensic experts are in huge demand and can easily have starting salaries from $ 100,000 U.S. and higher.

  1. The Phlebob says:

I’m afraid not. Computer Forensics works pretty much with what’s on –or was on — the hard disk. There’s probably some Web forensics also involved, but I wouldn’t consider that communications (TV, radio, blogging, Public Relations, …).

    Sorry.
