Question by jayninj44: Where is a safe place to live in San Diego?
I’m looking to move to San Diego with my future wife. We are looking to move somewhere safe. Can anyone recommend some nice areas when we can live?

San Diego is ridiculously safe for a major city.
Even the worst parts aren’t really hat bad compared to Los Angels or New York. Not by a long shot.
I must have answered this question like 20 times already.
The problem is, nobody ever includes a price range, wether you are looking to buy or rent, what kind of job you will have.
What race you are, and if its important for you to be around your race or not. Or religion, that may be important to you as well.
http://sdreader.com and craigslist.com , that will let you know what’s out there as far as rentals.
I will give a list of a few decent Neighborhoods.
Chula Vista, East Lake, Bonita, Imperial Beach (IB has a bad Rep but has cleaned up a lot in he last 10 years)
Paradise hills, Southern El Cajon/Rancho San Diego,
Coronado, La Jolla, Del Mar, Clairmont Mesa, Mira Mar, Tierra Santa.
These are the neighborhoods i feel safest in.
Other neighborhoods aren’t as good, As in i wouldn’t go for a walk alone at night, but safe in the day.
There are some i forgot i’m sure.
The ones to deffinetly avoid are City Heights, Logan Heights, and South East San Diego. Any thing else in san diego arent as bad as these 3.
By the way, anyone who says, “stick close to the coast cause those are good neighborhoods” is wrong
Barrio Logan and National City are close to the coast. Not that bad, but not too good either.
