Question by todd: What was frank costanzas job in seinfeld before he retired?
i’m a die hard seinfeld fan….and i’ve practically memorized all the episodes. i know everything about frank costanza (jerry stiller) except for what his job was. All i know is that he was a cook in the army for a brief time in the vietnam war. any other suggestions?

He was a salesman who sold Christian artifacts, and he is fluent in Korean. I’m not lying. Watch the episode “The Understudy” for confirmation.

  1. ericbryce2 says:

George and his parents were assumed to be Jewish but we learn in “The Understudy” that Frank once worked as a salesman selling Christian religious articles such as statues, and prayer books and the so forth.

In the episode “The Fatigues”, it is implied that Frank is a member of the Knights of Columbus, an all-Catholic fraternal organization. It is implied that his wife and son are of the Jewish faith. It is likely that theirs was an interfaith marriage. He may have converted to the Jewish faith but Frank was born in Italy which is 99% Catholic.
