Question by Amber: What is the difference in Diagnostic Medical Sonography certificate and associate’s degree?
I’m trying to decide the best school to go to for a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program near Dallas, Texas and am confused as to what the difference is in a certificate and associate’s degree? differences in salary and job opportunities, etc… any info helps!

Most importantly, you need to make sure you find an accredited program. That is much more important than the type of degree, because once you graduate from an accredited program you will be registry-eligible which is what employers really care about. Pay in this field is not so much based on degree, but more on Registration status and experience. Certificate programs are usually only open to those with a prior degree in a healthcare related field.
