Question by David Maldonado: What is it like to live in San Francisco, and how are payments made for the house/apartment?
I am currently wondering how it is like to live in San Francisco, with the focus on how. Is it expensive to live there, is it better to have an apartment or house, and how do you make your payments? Is it possible to own/rent a place to live on a job’s income, for example, a barista at Starbucks or do you live with roommates to split the bills?

Well, if you’re living by yourself, it would be better to have an apartment as houses are very expensive in San Francisco and there aren’t many houses for sale in that area now. The average salary for a Starbucks barista is $ 9 but could get paid minimum wage. You would probably have to get roommates as the median price for a one-bedroom apartment inside of S.F. city limits is $ 2,250.00 per month where a three-bedroom apartment inside of S.F. city limits is $ 4,000.00 per month. Also, San Francisco ranks number 4 in a list of 10 cities with the highest cost of living. That being said, San Francisco is generally a good area and actually ranks number 8 in a list entitled “The Top 10 Happiest Cities”.
