No Experience Necessary
Question by MaryJane: What is a good school for Computer forensics?
I am only trying to study computer forensics and nothing else
what is a good school in the area of Miami, Fl where i live, and maybe even the best school in other states?

I’m not an expert in that field, but I think it would be good to talk to one.
Call up someone who does computer forensics in Miami, and talk to them about how they got into the business, and how you can get into that field.
It could be that they don’t recommend a particular school, but suggest what kinds of classes to take, or kinds of internships/experiences you should have. You won’t be openly asking for a part-time job while you are going through school, but if they offer you one, you might take it.
Be sure to ask what magazines/websites/blogs you should be reading. What organizations you should be joining. What conferences you should think about going to.
If you want to know more about this technique of talking to people already working in the field you are interested in, see Bolles’ book _What Color is Your Parachute_ – http://www.jobhuntersbible.com
I work in higher education, but I realize that not all good jobs necessarily need a degree in a certain thing. If I need to hire a webmaster, I’d rather hire someone who has already made 4-5 successful websites, even if they don’t have a degree, rather than someone who has a degree, but NO real-world experience. But of course, the person with a degree AND experience would be even better.
