Question by candleangel29: Should I quit my full-time job or reduce to part time in order to obtain grants or financial aid for college?
I am an adult learner currently enrolled in the University of Phoenix online program for Informational technology/ Networking program. I am worried about the debt that I am getting myself into. I currently work in a food packaging plant. With my current financial status, I could afford to work part-time and still pay my bills.

I would check to see how much money you are allowed to make and still get Grants. The level is pretty low. For me it was about 19,000 a year. if you make less than that you may do better to go part time, but financial aid is based on your income for the last year. they use your income tax returns from the previous year. So cutting your hours now will not help you on this years.
