Question by hit22: What jobs can I get with a criminal justice degree besides being a Police Officer?
I just finished my associates degree in criminal justice and I’m continuing on towards my bachelor’s majoring in computer forensics. Is it possible to get a job now in the criminal justice field now without having to be a cop?

You could work in the judiciary field, although that may require more than a criminal justice degree.

Because you’ve attained an associate’s degree in criminal justice & working toward your B.A. in computer forensics, doesn’t mean you would only qualify as a police officer. If I were you, I’d be checking the various law enforcement agencies, or perhaps the Prosecutor’s office.

Having a cj degree does not help you become and officer.
having a bachelors or even your AA with a good GPA does.
If you want something like probation go into soc.
There are lots of civilian jobs in government LE for good computer forensic people.
There are even more n private industry. You gotta be good and you have to get some internship/practical type experience to land a good job.

    Yes…. Most certainly.
A good friend of mine recently graduated with a criminal justice degree but, like yourself, was unsure about becoming a police officer. He took a job waiting tables in the cafeteria at our local justice and administration building. A lot of the police officers, judges and lawyers eat lunch there and the tips are decent.
