No Experience Necessary
Question by Sol: What are some “decent” or fair paying facilities for CNA’s in New York?
Hello! I’m 21, female. I did a patient care tech program, (CNA+EKG+Phlebotomy). Since I’m not experienced my only chance is to work at a nursing home as a CNA so that once I start looking for hospital jobs doing all 3 things I can have it serve me as background experience in the “health field”.
This is just a stepping stone for me, I had to stop going to college because of how expensive it was, I can’t go back to school until I pay off what I owe. So I signed up for this tech program at an independent trade school.
I want to know if I can be lucky to land a fair paying nursing home job, I already have back issues (extreme pain for no apparent reason, still trying to get some medical studies on that) and I know it’s a very demanding and physical job, I don’t expect to earn $ 20 an hour, I’m realistic, but I wouldn’t want to be fully abused either.
$ 10,$ 11,$ 12 an hour? Know of any specific agencies/nursing homes in New York?

LIJ pays a lot better than most other hospitals.
