What is the job called in forensics where you do all the DNA and testing sample stuff. Like the job Greg does in CSI Las Vegas.

    criminal science, it’s in all aspects of crime investigations, such as tire tracks, Paint, fabric There are some that do nothing but have sole prints from all brands of shoes, ammo , hundreds of different categories in there, beside DNA

    The DNA testing is usually done by a biochemist, the majority of the other tests are done by toxicologists.

    Lab technicians are the ones who actually conduct the tests that help investigators examine the evidence discovered in the field. One other person said that crime shows aren’t realistic. That’s true, but not because these jobs don’t exist…it’s just that some of the details you see on TV aren’t accurate. DNA analysis is a very commonly used forensic tool in real life.
