Question by Mommyof1: Does anybody know any good jobs in Houston?
I am looking for a job but almost everything I see is experienced required and all I have ever worked at was daycares ( I don’t want to work in daycare anymore). Does anybody know any good jobs where I wouldn’t need experience in that field? Or does anybody know when any job fairs are around houston next week or the week after?

Have you checked with Worksource or workforce. (I think they are the same now). If you go online there is some assessments you can take which will help you learn more about other areas you would also be good at and enjoy. They have lots of help and tutorials to help learn new skills. It is a free service. Check them out.
Also check the Craigslist when you discover areas you would really like.

Have you considered a home business? I am an independent consultant for Arbonne International. You set your own hours, you are your own boss and you decide how much money you want to make. The sky is truly the limit! Check out my website and click on “Contact Me” to send me an email. I would be happy to share all of the information with you.

Make home/hand made stuff (jewelery, paper weights, beaded key chains etc or whatever you’re good at) and sell them on the web. My friend makes and sells knitted scarfs and knitting needles in a free online store. Homemade stuff rocks!

Design stuff in like photo-shop and send your design to the cafepress website, where other people can buy shirts with your design on it. (I think it’s free to use and they cut you a check for your design per item sold …but it might have changed but worth checking out.

Allot of car dealerships are trying to save money and offer entry level receptionist jobs (filing stuff/answering phones).

Christmastime is gift wrapping time. Department stores are looking for gift wrappers, it can be a great opportunity to get your foot in the door for something better.

You can also google free lance and contractor sites in almost every field.

    Hope this helped!!! Good luck
