Many employers will not hire you unless you are a Registered Sonographer through ARDMS, this is a nationally recognized registration. The best way to become registered is to go through an accredited program & take and pass your board exams. If you do not go through an accredited program, you have to work in the field for 1 year before you are registry-eligible.
Typically, trade schools like SB are not recommended, even if they are accredited. That’s because the charge insane rates (we’re talking $ 40k) and are not very well-respected in the ultrasound community, which could hurt you when looking for a job. Try to find a technical college with an accredited program – that’s your best bet. http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/
