Question by Vena Cava: Nurses: is it a good idea to apply for jobs in other states without being licensed there?
Im licensed in NJ. But I found something interesting in PA. Im curious if Im wasting my time by applying there without having a PA license. Should I pay the fee first?

No. Before they finally hire you they will want to see a copy of your PA license to see that it is good standing. Also, sometimes it can take a while to get a license, so they would probably not want to hold a position for you waiting. Make sure NJ & PA are not “compacted states”, where 1 license is enough.
