Question by applegatebottom1989: Just wondering which school is best for Medical Assistant its btw Baker College or Dorsey Schools. ?
Just trying find people who graduated from a medical assistant program in Detroit Mi and what school did you attend and did u find a job quick.

Both of these schools appear to be over priced career colleges that do not provide a superior education for how much more you will pay.
I would suggest looking for a program at a community college which will cost WAY less, their credits are transferable (should you decide to further your education) and many offer online classes.
Medical Assiting (like most fields) are over saturated with new grads. Many people after being layed off decided to go back to school to get a job in health care. Most employers are usually only hiring assistants who have at least 1-2 years of experience. So most new grads spends months looking for a job.
Please research carefully before jumping into a program, make sure whatever school you chose in aama accredited school and do not believe everything the school “advisor” says, they are only trying to sell you their education and do not care if you end up $ 30,000 in debt and a useless degree.
