Question by makavelli405: Is there alot of jobs for computer forensic’s?
is this a hard career to get into? where are these jobs located? just at the FBI?
Answer by Chad
It’s a valid career field, but most law enforcement has staffed from within. That is, they’ve taken existing trained law enforcement professionals with an IT aptitude and taught them computer forensics. So, getting your foot in the door will be hard. Most of these jobs are networking/hardware related and will require an in-depth knowledge of both UNIX and Windows environments, and thorough knowledge of protocols like SMTP, POP, FTP, etc.
