Question by chris b: In the state of California are Cna’s required to get a shift differential pay on nocs and swing shifts?
I work for a facility in sacramento california, ive worked swing and now I work nights and I was wondering if my facility was suppose to give me a differiential pay if anyone can help please…. My job is trying to fire me for organizing a union and i need something to get them to lay off of me.

By law, you can’t be fired for attempting to organize through a union. You need to contact the NLRB.
Unless you’re represented by a union and have a contract that spells out the pay and shift differentials, they don’t HAVE to pay anything different. Once the union contract is in place, that’s a different story.
