Question by Emily: I’m not good at Cosmetology school. Now what?
I finished high school last year and moved out to Seattle to start Cosmetology school. I’ve been here for 3 weeks and I can already tell I’m going to suck at it. I hate it and it just isn’t for me. I was dual enrolled in high school and I didn’t like taking college classes…I don’t know if I could handle 4 years of that.
Do I have any other options school-wise? Are there other schools like Cosmetology school where you don’t have to take classes that have nothing to do with what you’re learning like in College?
I know I probably sound stupid, please don’t be mean to me =/

lol nobody has any right to be mean to you.
I think it’s good you know what you don’t like. Not everyone learns the way colleges teach and not everyone is cut out for cosmetology. But everyone is good at something :D.
There are all sorts of programs out there that aren’t really classroom related. Like massage therapy school, LPN, RN (there is a 2 year and sometimes less degree for this), Medical assistant, CNA, Paralegal, Dental hygienist etc etc.
All of those jobs above would take 2 years or less to complete. There are some college classes you would have to take but most of the learning is hands on so you would have to tough it out and study hard for the classes you would have to take but it will be worth it in the end.
