A tax return for what? You don’t have a job.
Also, you don’t receive a tax form, I believe you’re referring to a W-2.

  1. Rick says:

    NO
If you don’t pay any taxes during the year, how are you expecting to have taxes returned…………

  2. Travis G says:

Not having a job does not mean you do not submit your taxes or you can not submit them. It is dependant on if you received any wages other than employment such as unemployment, in which you would get a 1099-G instead of a W-2. Another factor is money that is taxable such as IRA’s and high yeild banking interest which you probably don’t have or you would know you have to file on them. Best thing to do is to take all your financial papers including your college finances (grants, loans, scholarship info, tuition reimbursement) to a tax professional such as H and R Block or other credible professional that does not charge if you do not file. Just make sure that you ask the person specifically if they have experience with college students or tell the receptionist your needs.
