Question by Lord Zane Vorhis: How to have a romantic weekend in san diego cheaply?
I just got a new job, and in October I get 3 days of paid vacation. I’m not making much, maybe just about1600 a month. Anyway in October I want to take my fiance for a romantic weekend in town. Because I don’t really stay at hotels in my own city I’m not sure the average cost of hotels and ‘tourist’ things to do.

How much should I look to save up for a decent romantic weekend in San Diego?

What about Palm Springs?

campgrounds are near the Beaches. the less fancy your trip is ; the less expensive it will be, and probably more enjoyable, rent bicycles at mission beach.

Walking along the beach hand=in=hand is free and very romantic. Try one of the beaches here:

Presidio Park is a fab green space where you can have a pic nic. You can also visit Old Town (also free) which is a historical site like CA first brick house, CA first school house etc.

Walking in Balboa Park is also free. Here you can go to the gardens (free) or pick a museum (not free unless it happens to be a Tuesday which selected museums are free). Spanish Village is a cool place to walk around and see crafts.

    Good luck and have fun

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it’s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
