Question by tigerz61: How old do you have to be to get your working permit in NJ and where can you start working at?
So I am turning 15 in November and I wanted a job to pay for my paintballing and I was wondering if I could get my working permits at 15? Also where would they higher at 15?

talk to your guidance counselor I was 16 when I started working and most grocery stores will hire a kid with working papers

    In NJ you can obtain working papers at 15. You obtain the form from your guidance counselor at your HS. A reputable employer will insist on these papers as there are disability and other insurance requirements the business must meet before hiring you.

    Typical positions are counter help positions but you can technically do anything that does not require the use of industrial equipment or power tools.
