Highly educated
Four + years Marketing experience
Can’t seem to break the Boston job market – recruiters and job boards have gotten me no where.

Check out something called Barn-Raising – put that term into your search engine to get the URL (because I think Yahoo won’t post URLs here). At the site, find a session/workshop underwritten by MA Dept of Labor (so you can take it free – it’s usually $ 500 – which is what I did).

The Boston market is weird – “just” four years of experience in just about anything means very little here, where vertical-for-life seems to be the rule in careers.

At least Barn-Raising is a way to get specific about the obstacles you face. You’ll also get a good jump on a network, which it sounds like you might need, even if you don’t quite know it.

Good luck in your search!
