Mayor Cory Booker, North Ward Council Member Anibal Ramos, Jr. and East Ward Council Member Augusto Amador cut the ribbon on Columbus Hospital LTACH located at the Columbus Medical Arts Building in Newark’s North Ward on October 5, 2010. The new facility is New Jersey’s largest freestanding multi-specialty Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) with a capacity of 66 acute care beds. Approximately 120 jobs were created during the planning and construction phase of the hospital and will result in 400 professional jobs going forward.
